Wishlist Wednesday #52

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Please consider adding the blog hop button to your blog somewhere, so others can find it easily and join in too! Help spread the word! The code will be at the bottom of the post under the linky.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.

If I Lie
by Corrine Jackson

Goodreads synopsis:
A powerful debut novel about the gray space between truth and perception.

Quinn’s done the unthinkable: she kissed a guy who is not Carey, her boyfriend. And she got caught. Being branded a cheater would be bad enough, but Quinn is deemed a traitor, and shunned by all of her friends. Because Carey’s not just any guy—he’s serving in Afghanistan and revered by everyone in their small, military town.

Quinn could clear her name, but that would mean revealing secrets that she’s vowed to keep—secrets that aren’t hers to share. And when Carey goes MIA, Quinn must decide how far she’ll go to protect her boyfriend…and her promise.

First of all, it has to be said, but yay for Wishlist Wednesday being one year old!  It had to be said :P Now onto this week's book...

I just heard about this one this week. I was watching the YA Rebel's videos on YouTube (click here to go to their channel), and all week they have been doing videos based around lies that they've told, to celebrate the release of Corrine's book (she is one of the YA rebels, and posts her videos on Tuesdays). I became intrigued by all of this, and so looked the book up, and it sounds really good.
I've really gotten into YA contemporary recently, as you know, so this sounds like a really intriguing book  - I just have to know what this secret is that Quinn is keeping! (I am, however, going to become very confused by her name, because I'm a huge Charlaine Harris fan, and in her Sookie Stackhouse series, there is a very hot, male character called Quinn. It's going to be hard to get over that :P).
Anyway, enough babbling - I just think it looks really great, and I can't wait to get my hands on it! Enough said :)

What's on your wishlist this week? Let us know in the comments below, or by posting your own Wishlist Wednesday post, and linking up in the linky below :)

Happy Birthday to Wishlist Wednesday! One of my favourite memes :)

This book definitely sounds intriguing and even though I don't read books like this usually, the blurb definitely has me wondering what Quinn's hiding! Hope you get to read it soon!
