Breathe by Sarah Crossan: Blog Tour & UK/Ireland Giveaway

Breathe is the fantastic new novel by Sarah Crossan, which I've recently read, and will be reviewing at some point in the next week. I read her debut, The Weight of Water, earlier in the year, so when this was announced I was ridiculously excited - and it definitely lived up to my expectations!
So I'm obviously really excited to be able to take part in the blog tour for the book! This means that I'm able to bring you an extract from the book and a UK/Ireland Giveaway too!
But before we get into that, we have a quick message from Sarah about the environmental ideas in the book.

Breathe has a very strong environmental message. What things do you do to be environmentally friendly? It is so hard to be environmentally conscientious when we live in such a throwaway world. But I do the best I can. I reuse my shopping bags and recycle anything I can. I have also been working hard not to buy things I don’t need. That’s been the hardest thing because it’s easy to convince myself that I really need silly things when really the desire is just fleeting.

The Giveaway...
Thanks to the wonderful people at Bloomsbury UK, Pen to Paper has one paperback copy of Breathe to give away to one lucky follower in the UK or Ireland.
I'm very excited about this, as the book is definitely in my top ten books of 2012, so I hope that if you're in the UK or Ireland, you'll definitely enter, if you don't have the book already!
As usual, there are a few rules, before we get to the good bit :)

  • You must be a follower of Pen to Paper via Google Friend Connect to enter. My giveaways are a thank you to my wonderful followers, so why not become one of them?! Become a part of the book-loving community!
  • You must live in either the UK or Ireland in order to enter.
  • There are optional extra entries available for this giveaway. They are optional, so you don't have to do them, but they could mean the difference between you winning the book, or someone else taking the prize.
  • Please make sure that you fulfil each of the entry requirements, both for the main entry, and the optional entries. If you do not do so, your entry will not count.
  • When the giveaway is over, I will email the winner, and they will then have 48 hours to respond to my email, with the correct information. Unfortunately, if they fail to do this, I will have to draw another winner.
Once I have heard from the winner, I will pass their details onto the publishing house, and they will post your prize out to you.
  • Please do not leave your email address anywhere on my blog. I use Rafflecopter to keep your details safe, so please take advantage of that.
  • The giveaway will end on November 10th 2012 at 23:59.
And now all that's left to do is get yourself entered! Good luck to all!
