Michael Grant Event in London: April 24th 2013

Many of you will already have read and fallen in love with Michael Grant's globally bestselling series, Gone, and you will be eagerly anticipating reading the final book in the series, Light, which has just been released in the UK (that is, if you've not already dived in and discovered how it ends!).
If this is the case, and you're already a fan of Michael's, and you live in the UK, I have some exciting news to share with you.

Michael will be at Waterstones Piccadilly (in London, for those who don't know), talking to journalist, Lucy Mangan, about the series, and the final instalment, Light!
The event starts at 6.30pm and tickets are £5, but if you are a Waterstones cardholder, they are £3, and can be booked in store, or over the phone by calling 02078512400.
If you need any further information, this is the Waterstones event page for Michael Grant, and there is a number to phone for further information, should you need it.

I will be there with a good blogging friend of mine, Misty from Bookaholics Book Club, and we'd be very excited to chat to any of you, should you want to have enthusiastic chats about these books (or any books for that matter).

If you unfamiliar with the Gone series, but are now intrigued, and want to know more, here is a little information about the first book in the series!

Synopsis (from Waterstones.com):
Suddenly there are no adults, no answers. What would you do? In the blink of an eye, the world changes. The adults vanish without a trace, and those left must do all they can to survive. But everyone's idea of survival is different. Some look after themselves, some look after others, and some will do anything for power ...Even kill. For Sam and Astrid, it is a race against time as they try to solve the questions that now dominate their lives ...What is the mysterious wall that has encircled the town of Perdido Beach and trapped everyone within? Why have some kids developed strange powers? And can they defeat Caine and his gang of bullies before they turn fifteen and disappear too? It isn't until the world collapses around you that you find out what kind of person you really are. A chilling portrayal of a world with no rules. When life as you know it ends at 15, everything changes.
